Mountain Climbin in Venosta Valley

Surrounded by Imposing Three-Thousanders

With the impressive surrounding mountain ranges around the Stelvio National Park, the Venosta Valley is a true Eldorado for mountain climbers. Firn and never-ending ice await all lovers of adventurous mountain climbing in the Ortles region, the Ötztal Alps and the Sesvenna Range, along with first-class Alpine huts, and refuges and excellent cuisine.

Solda/Sulden
In the middle of the Ortles group, at the foot of King Ortles, is located Solda, the cradle of modern Alpinism. With a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding three-thousanders, Solda is the ideal departure point for all mountain climbers who wish to conquer the triumvirate of Ortles, Gran Zebru and Mount Zebru. Furthermore, on the high mountains around the triumvirate you can see, even today, relics from the Ortles front of the First World War. Back in the plateau of Solda, comfort, good food and necessary relaxation are all on offer for mountain climbing fanatics, in order to freshen up their tired limbs and get ready for the next day.
