The Ortles region around Stelvio Pass is an ideal starting point for motorcycle tours in the border triangle of Italy, Austria and Switzerland. The Stelvio Pass Road, the Queen of the Alpine passes, has some of the most attractive scenery of any high-Alpine road. Ascents and descents on either side of the pass have a maximum gradient of 12%. The pass road is drivable from the end of May to the beginning of November, depending on snowfall.

48 hairpin bends between Gomagoi and the Stelvio Pass (2,758 m) are bound to set biker’s hearts racing. Having navigated the pass, bikers are afforded majestic views of the 3,905-meter Ortles summit. The Stelvio Pass and the Gavia Pass are the two highest recorded passes in the whole of the Italian Alps.
