Mountain climbers can find many tours and climbing gardens among the spectacular mountain peaks and surrounding pastures of Venosta Valley for true vertical adventures. The climbing gardens at Juval Castle and at the Langenstein mountain station in Solda/Sulden enjoy great popularity. Challenging fixed rope trails and Via Ferrata can also be found at the foot of South Tyrol's highest mountain, the Ortler. Families and beginners can try the easier Murmele-Steig fixed rope course in Val Martello, while experienced mountaineers seeking challenges can take the Hoachwool trail near Juval.

You can find popular indoor-training facilities in the climbing halls in Sluderno/Schluderns (Upper Venosta Valley) and Val Martello. The high-rope climbing garden Alliz in Lasa/Laas is particularly suitable for children, and the high-rope garden in the Schnalstal Valley offers 7 courses to meet all challenges.
