General description

This trail starts much further up, on the Aussereggen farm along the slopes of the Monte Sole at Silandro/Schlanders and is one highest irrigation canal trails in the entire Venosta Valley. The trail passes through narrow walkways and wooden bridges through fields and larch forests in the peaceful Schlandrauntal Valley.

Route description

At the Aussereggen farm, the Neuwaal trail leads to the forest road in the remote Schlandrauntal Valley. Remaining on the forestry road, the track continues to the quiet Schlanderser and Kortscher Alm Alpine pastures.

Description to arrive at destination

From Reschen or Meran to Schlanders/Kortsch, up the Sonnenberg road to the Aussereggen farm.

Parking

The car can be parked at Aussereggen parking place.

Public transport

By the Venosta train to Schlanders and by the Citybus to Kortsch. Then you have to continue on foot to the Aussereggen farm - additional walking time about 2,5 hours.
