Just one step from heaven: the majestic Ortler mountain stands tall at 3,905 m above sea level. The imposing mountain chains and frozen spaces in the high massifs around Laces/Latsch and Martello/Martell are an adventurous challenge and a great experience for mountain-climbers.

When ascending the Tscharser Jochwaal irrigation channel path, hikers will come across the remnants of an ancient aqueduct along the way. For those keen to continue even further, they can the climb to the cross on the summit of the Hasenohr mountain at 3,257 m. There are also breath-taking views on the Vermoi peak and the Hasenohr mountain, as well as over one of the most beautiful stretches of the Venosta Valley High Mountain Trail.
