Brown bread from Val Venosta/Vinschgau, which is known as "Vinschgerl" in Germany, consists of two small attached loafs of bread. The loaf pair has a minimum content of 70 percent of rye flower mixed with wheat whole grain or spelt flour. The spice of the bread is due to the sourdough, caraway, bread clover and fennel.
