Venosta Valley is a fertile region home to high quality produce. Traditional farm products change with the seasons, and thus the delicacies of the region follow the cycle of the year. Very popular are the traditional rye bread types of local grain and produce of organic stock and dairy products such as high-quality Alpine pasture cheese.

Many small producers are engaged to produce first-class fruit, juices, vinegars, herbal teas, fresh asparagus in springtime and some of the most excellent and awarded wines of Italy. Most of the farm products are also sold directly at the farms, as well as at traditional markets andfarm consortiums of small producers.
